FULL STORY: The National Toy Hall of Fame announced its three newest inductees. They are:
1. My Little Pony. They were first produced in 1982.
2. Transformers. The first iteration of the toys came out in 1984.
3. The card game “Phase 10”. It was created in 1982.
Nine other finalists didn’t get enough votes to make it in: The board games “Apples to Apples” and “Sequence” . . . the “Pokémon” trading card game . . . ‘Choose Your Own Adventure’ gamebooks . . . Hess Toy Trucks . . .
Remote-controlled vehicles . . . the Stick Horse (a.k.a. Hobbyhorse) . . . Trampolines . . . and plain old balloons.
Last year’s inductees were: Baseball Cards . . . Cabbage Patch Kids . . . the Fisher-Price Corn Popper . . . and Nerf.
