- Sawtooth Mining, our mining contractor who is performing most of the construction-related earthwork, is continuing excavation of the process plant pad, which is currently over 80% complete
- Highmark Construction, our general fill earthworks contractor, is nearly 55% complete with general fill placement
The select fill processing plant takes excavated soil from a stockpile which includes various sizes of rocks and a mix of soils which are placed in a large crusher (pictured above) where they are crushed together to create a soil mix suitable for use as structural fill / select fill and placed and compacted to the optimal engineering requirement to allow the placement of concrete foundations on top of the properly compacted select fill.
Any soil material that does not pass through the screening process is discharged to conveyors and sent to another pile for other uses in the future.
The select fill processing plant is anticipated to be operational by early Feb. 2025.

WORKFORCE HUB PROJECT MILESTONES
Solid Beginnings: Workforce Hub Takes Shape with First Concrete Pour
The first Workforce Hub concrete pour took place last week for the first dormitory building foundation and consisted of 67 cubic yards of concrete. The freshly poured concrete is pictured above, curing under heating blankets.
Pictured below are Brahma Group staff (one of our concrete foundation contractors) and photos of their work as they build the formwork for future concrete pours.
Workforce Hub updates:
- City of Winnemucca building inspections are ongoing
- Sanbell Engineering, our civil engineering contractor, is inspecting soils compaction, sewer installation and placement of concrete
- Target Hospitality, our contractor selected for installation and operation of the Workforce Hub, is conducting pre-installation inspections on modules to prepare for setting the modules in place.
- Progress on the foundation includes the following:
- Joy Engineering, our contractor for sewer, drainage and roadways is currently grading and generating structural fill
- More than 80 pre-cast foundations have been set
- 9 cast-in-place foundations have been placed
