Communities In Schools of Northeastern Nevada Celebrates Milestone with First Office Space in Humboldt County
What: Winnemucca, NV – Communities In Schools of Northeastern Nevada (CIS) is proud to announce the grand opening of its first-ever office space in Humboldt County. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will commemorate this significant milestone in the organization’s growth and commitment to supporting local students.
When: Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 11 a.m.
Location: 3200 Traders Way, Winnemucca, NV 89445
Details: This new office space marks a pivotal moment for CIS, providing a central hub for operations that serve six schools within the Humboldt County School District. The facility will house offices for staff and create a welcoming environment for students, families, and community partners.
“We are thrilled to establish a stronger presence in Winnemucca,” said Trisha Webb, Executive Director of Communities In Schools of Northeastern Nevada. “This new space will enable us to expand our support for students and families in Humboldt County, building on our successful programs and introducing new initiatives.”
The office will support CIS’s existing programs and facilitate the expansion of vital services, including:
- The CIS Academy program –
- Tele-mental health services
- A weekend food bag program for vulnerable students
Who: Community members, partners, and media representatives are invited to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony and tour the new facility. Light refreshments will be served, and CIS staff will be available for interviews and questions.
More: CIS has supported nearly 2,500 students across six schools in Humboldt County. This expansion reinforces the organization’s commitment to identifying and removing barriers to student success academically and personally.
