FULL STORY: Anyone dealing with all 10 of these at work today? If so, you have our sympathy: A new survey looked at the top things that can crush your motivation at work . . .
1. Rude managers. So, your boss is being a jerk.
2. Poor technology. Your computer sucks.
3. Constant calls or meetings. So you don’t have time to get actual work done.
4. A lack of flexibility. Like getting in trouble if you’re three minutes late.
5. You only get negative feedback, never anything positive.
6. Hearing someone else got a raise, but you didn’t.
7. Managers or senior staff never share updates. So you feel out of the loop.
8. Not getting the recognition you deserve after a big project.
9. Hearing colleagues complain all the time. Negativity breeds more negativity.
10. Repetitive tasks. So . . . that’s most jobs in general.
A few more that made the Top 20: Being stuck inside when it’s nice out . . . finding out someone else got promoted . . . a long and boring commute . . . and having to work in silence in an office where the RADIO is banned.
