FULL STORY: It’s BUG SEASON again . . . Covid, cold, flu, and whatever the germs are that your toddler is wiping all over your face. So there’s talk about what you can do to avoid catching stuff . . . and generally being LESS GROSS.
There’s a forum online where people are talking about the “hygiene habits” that NO ONE talks about . . . but really SHOULD. Here are some of the best ones:
1. Using clean pillowcases. And keeping your sheets fresh in general.
2. Changing your towels . . . hand towels and bathing towels . . . frequently.
3. Cleaning your belly button.
4. Cleaning your piercing holes no matter how old they are. One person said, “Take your earrings out and scrub.”
5. Brushing your tongue (and the roof of your mouth). “It’s key for fresh breath and is often forgotten.”
6. Cleaning your phone screen regularly.
7. Being mindful of what touches your BED. Don’t allow shoes on the bed . . . or luggage . . . and don’t get under the covers in your “outside clothes.”
8. Someone added “not allowing pets on your bed,” but that’s going to be controversial.
9. Cleaning your keys. Especially if they end up on the table and counters.
10. Cleaning the bottom of your purse. “You set it down everywhere, and then you plop it on the kitchen counter.”
11. Someone said, “I always carry hand sanitizer with me since the pandemic . . . I have gotten less colds since then.”
12. Not coughing or sneezing into your hands, without washing them right after.
13. Cleaning beards.
14. Cleaning your backside in the shower.
15. One person joked, “Cleaning your browsing history . . . before it gets really, really dirty.”
